Electromagnetic metamaterial is an artificial material that made up of different types structural designs on dielectric substrates. In this paper a broad and elite investigation being carried out by designing simulating cell comprising square split ring resonator with copper wire strip etched the ground plane to discover its some unusual parameters such as double negativity which are naturally not found in other materials nature. These show exceptionally great applications design microstrip patch antennas improving their characteristics bandwidth, return loss, gain.
